Mom & Dad's Anniversary

OK, so hang in there with me, because my mom and dad have a lot of anniversary's.  To be honest, my mom loves ANY REASON to have an "occasion" is what she calls them.  Whether she gets to give my dad sweet kisses or a cute card, whatever she can do to get her hands on him, she will do it.  She loves it, so my dad, while he enjoys it a lot, indulges her, for the most part.  That's how they work, and it's really fun to watch.  Except when they kiss.....it totally grosses me out, so I just look the other way and start watching Danger Rangers again. 

Anyhow, my parents met 3 years ago today.  Supposedly the story goes something like this - Mom went to a 40th birthday in Denver, CO.  She lived there at the time, and so did my dad.  She was in the basement of this bar called Irish Snug, just hanging out w/ friends.  My dad was 2 doors down at The Streets of London.  He would sometimes go there for a beer after work, so on this Friday, that's where he was.  He ran into these people that he'd met a few weeks prior, and they included him on their pub crawl, for some other guys 40th birthday party.  Random, right? 

Anyhow, they ended up at the bar my mom was at, they went downstairs, and my dad walked right up to her to see if she & her friends would take a picture w/ the birthday boy.  My mom...she's a tad fiesty, as you all well know, and she thought the birthday boy was grossm drunk and sweaty, so she told my dad that, which only made him think she was cute AND funny, so he asked for her number and off he went, on the pub crawl. 

That next Tuesday, he called my mom and they went on their first day.  WHICH, by the way, will end up being another entry on this blog, because GOD FORBID my mom skip another reason to have an anniversary.  This next one will be the 3 year anniversary of their first date, on Sunday, Jan 25, 2009, so hold tight.  More to come.

My mom bought me a ton of them when I was born, but they were all too big.  Now, they are all fitting, so watch out, cuz she's gonna put me in these stupid things and make me smile and take these pictures all day long.  TRUST ME....it's my pain & your enjoyment.  I know....I know...
