Have I mentioned my parents and I love my pediatrician, Dr. Paruolo? He's the coolest guy. He makes me think he's playing with me, when really he is checking me over to make sure I'm growing correctly. All looks good, but everyone keeps talking about how long I am. Whatever, I just have to touch my head to the tip top of this dumb measuring device, and then the nurse streeetches my legs out, so that they get a realistic length. My mom, well, she's kinda over-protective. You know, that mother hen thing everyone talks about? Yea, that's her. She's good, she "seems" laid back, and she normally goes with the flow very easily, but when it comes to my shots, she wants to come crawling out of her own skin. She puts on a brave face, but we all know she's crumbling on the inside. I have that woman by the balls when I cry, people. Balls. ;)~
Eh-ghem...excuse me. I think I lost control there for a minute. That was a bit much. Anyhow, I weighed in at an ASTOUNDING 16 lbs 7 oz, and measured, at an all-time-high, 27 and a half inches. I keep growing at the same rate, too, so doc says that's very good. 95th percentile for my age in heighth/25th percentile for my age in weight. Tall and thin, just like my dad. ;)
Anyhow, the shots suck, and this time I got my first round of flu shots, which kinda stung, but I only cry for a few seconds until my mom and dad bum-rush the nurse and take over, coddling me. My mom always makes me laugh, because the days that I get shots, she's always telling me that she'll "baby" me, like she did when I was a baby. She crazy. LOL. She makes herself laugh more than anything. We just laugh at her, but she doesn't know it yet.
Well, I gotta run. I go back in 4 weeks for my 2nd round of flu shots, and to see how I'm doing, so I'll come back w/ more soon.
Love you guys,
Ben
