Bring on the Bluebonnets!!!
Let me tell you, folks, it's starting to warm up down here in the south. Pheeew, it just keeps getting hotter & hotter, and my parents are freaking out. It kind of cracks me up, but I'm pretty hot natured as well, so I bet I'll be sweating right along with these 2 fools.
SO, we went to Gymboree to see if we could find an outfit (my mom's word, not mine, ok?) for me to wear for my Bluebonnet shoot in early April. My mom hired this nice lady to take pictures of me in a bluebonnet field. A place we will surely go, after my shoot with Christine.
My mom loooves bluebonnets, because they always grew wild in her Grandma & Grandpa Stephens' front yard, every year. She always tells me how much she loves those memories, because she and her brothers used to take pictures in the bluebonnets all the time. You can't pick them, you know....State Flower, down here in these parts. Come on now! ;)
Well, I am growing like a weed. My hands already kind of look like man-hands, like my grandpa Jay's. And my feet are a complete replica of my dad's feet. Haha...I got the "Fred Flinstone's!" ;) My mom calls my dad's feet that, because he has the flattest feet she's ever seen, and now look who's got them too!
These days I'm trying to move just about anywhere. I can balance up on my feet and hands, and then I try to move and just lurch myself forward. I've GOT to get there, ya know? And I'm really impatient, so I'll lurch, roll, scooch....whatever works for the situation I'm in. I've bumped my head on a few things, but nothing that that should leave a mark. I try to get some extra attention by wimpering....but everytime I face plant, my parents laugh so hard. :) I suppose I look kinda funny running into stuff, so I'd laugh too. I guess I can't judge.
Look how my dad is holding me up by the arms. I am so active now, that they can do that, and I'll walk across the room, while just holding their hands. I'm kinda strong like that. And I'm so eager to touch everything, and stick it straight in my mouth. I heard my mom on the phone yesterday, calling some guy to come over and childproof the house. Not that she and daddy can't do it, but they are thinking they might leave this to the professionals, since they can already tell I'm really smart. ;) They can run, but they can't hide.
I'm also very bossy. I only like my bottle when I want it, so I mess w/ my parents' minds and emotions by being fickle with my eating habits. They feed me to my hearts content, so it makes it easy to play with them. They'll try 10 times to give me the bottle, but I'll hold my lips closed....and then, I'll totally catch one of them off-guard and will, out of nowhere, and finally, take the darn bottle. I make them crazy, but I also think they're onto me, so don't let them know I said this. They're smart too, so sometimes when they giggle, I know they KNOW I'm just pushing their buttons.
I'm eating baby food like a champ. I love me some apples. My dad loves it too. He eats my food with me. He thinks he's showing me how to eat, but I know he really just likes my food, cuz it's more like apple sauce, than anything. He gets me all these different flavors that I like, too, like Apple-Strawberry. Apple-Mango. Apple only. And occasionally he can throw in peaches and sweet potatos, and I like those too. I probably have a sweet tooth, just like both of my parents, so it's no surprise that I've taken to these foods, right? Now, I know they are going to start pushing me to eat more veggies next, so I'll keep you posted on how those taste. Less sweet, is all I know. I'll give them a shot, afterall, I'm nearly 29" long, already, and I need as much food as I can get my hands on.
Last time dad measured me I was 29" and 22 lbs. Big Big Boy!
OK, stay cool out there, and happy end of spring. Hahaha
